The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is the largest publicly funded R&D organization in India covering practically the entire spectrum of scientific and Industrial R&D ranging from aerospace to ocean exploration, from micro-electronics to structural and environmental engineering, from smart materials to macaronis, and from petrochemicals to synthetic biology and from life sciences to development of drugs and pharmaceuticals.
CSIR will hold an All-India Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Section Officers and Executive Assistants, open to Indian Nationals only.

Pay Scale/ Pay Band (2) Rs. 9300- 34,800, Grade Pay - Rs. 4800, Group "B"

Executive Assistant
Pay Scale/ Pay Band (2) Rs. 9300- 34,800, Grade Pay - Rs. 4200, Group "B"

Minimum Educational Qualification : A Bachelor Degree of a recognized university in any discipline and successful completion of one year Diploma course in Computer.

Age Limit : 28 years as on 15/07/2009. age relaxation as per government rules.

Selection Procedure : The Candidates will be selected through all India competitive Online examination comprising a Preliminary and Main Examination followed by an interview / personality test. Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will be allowed to appear in the main Examination. Short listed candidates between from the main Examination will be called for interview / Personality test.

Examination Fee : Gen and OBC Category Rs. 700/- (No application fee is needed for SC/ST/PH/ Ex Servicemen/ CSIR departmental candidates) in the form of a single A/c payee Bank Draft of State Bank of India (SBI) with six months validity, drawn at New Delhi in favour of Joint Secretary (Administration), CSIR, New Delhi.
Selection by all India online examination.
